Snow Fun!

Who would have though of all the fun you can have in the snow in Arizona? On Dec. 24th, Tim, Aubrey, and I went Snowshoeing at the Flagstaff Nordic Center. It was a lot of fun-and a great workout! The thing that surprised us most about snowshoeing was how easy it is to fall and difficult it is to get back up!
The whole family went sledding on Christmas Day in the mountains of Flagstaff. Tim and Aubrey both brought their inflatable sleds, but they both popped after a few runs (there was lava rock a few places at the bottom). Luckily, the rental house had a few sleds we'd stuck in the trunk, so we were at least able to finish our adventure.

A Flagstaff Christmas

This year was my first Christmas being married, and away from my family. Tim's parents moved to Texas, and their house is still being built, so the family all met up in Flagstaff. We stayed in a vacation house and decorated it for the holiday. I thought we did really well for only being there a few days. To go along with my family's traditions, we went and all picked out unusual or new drinks to have a "wine tasting" contest on christmas eve eve. We all had a great time rating the color, texture, taste, etc. Unfortunately-or fortunately, some of the drinks probably won't be purchased by us again (aka urban detox and superfood).
P.S. The winner was Nestle Chocolate Carmel Milkshake. It was tasty!

Festive Pups

Even my dogs were excited about christmas...
