I'm not a very good photographer, but I figured I'd try to take some similar pictures each month to see his growth. Ty's growth has (finally) slowed down. He weighs 16lbs, less than a pound more than last month. By now, Ty can almost roll over. If it weren't for his darn arms that get stuck under him, he would have it mastered. He has rolled from front to back a few times successfully (though never on camera)
Our neighbors gave us this exersaucer, aka spaceship. Ty feels pretty big in it!
Here is an excerpt from Ty's journal:
I am now settled into a pretty good routine, too. Though
there is a LOT of variation, here is my schedule: wake up around 7:20 am to
eat, play for a bit until I fall asleep for my morning nap which usually lasts
about an hour, play until I eat again around 11am then take a noon nap for
another hour. The afternoon is often when mommy tries to get me outside either
to play on the grass, go on walks, or go to a store; then I eat around 2:30 or
3pm. Occasionally I take a short evening
nap around 4 or 5 and sit in my bumbo or spaceship while mom or dad makes
dinner, then I eat again around 6, play with mom and/or dad (if mom is
working), sometimes take a walk, eat at 9pm and go to sleep for the entire
night.
Besides my routine, I do a lot with my day. Because mom and
dad are both in the young women/men program at church, I get to go to the
activities every Tuesday. The girls
there love holding and smiling at me, and I like to show off for them with my
cute smile, too! Mom has started taking
me to Mother Goose Story Time at the Louisville Library on Thursday mornings. I
have such a great time sitting on her lap while we recite nursery rhymes, sing
songs, and listen to short stories. We do a lot of bouncing to the rhythm and I
have a smile on my face the entire 30 minutes!
