Easter and Such

I've been a bit lazy posting lately, but we've kept busy this Spring. I'm now learning that the saying "April showers bring May flowers" is actually because most places besides St. George, Utah really do have a lot of rain in April...but the "May Flowers" are pretty...especially the tulips! Our friends Michelle and Brian Prince came to visit us over Easter weekend during their law school search, and on Easter, Tim and I went to a Sunrise Service at Arlington Ntl. Cemetery. We've all wondered what that huge amphitheater by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is used for, but now we know!

It's hard being me

I now volunteer with an organization that raises dogs to become Service Dogs and help people with disabilities. They just had a litter of puppies about 3 weeks ago, and one of my jobs is to be a puppy holder! Tim thought this would be a good way for me to handle my desire for a dog, but I think it is just making it worse. There were 9 lab puppies born (on St. Patty's Day). 5 are yellow, and four are black.

For more information on the dogs, see www.blueridgeassistancedogs.org.

The Actual "Cherry Brossoms"

It is now the end of the Japanese Cherry Blossom (or "Brossom" as Tim says quoting the Japanese-I know, he's terrible) Festival here in DC, and Tim and I drove down to check them out on Sunday before they got blown away by the rain and wind on Monday. Here are some pictures of our adventure...

The Non-Cherry Blossoms...?

When Ben was here and we walked through DC, we saw these beautiful blooms on the trees. We were so excited to have our first experience with the Japanese Cherry Blossoms ...until we found out there aren't them. They were much prettier though.
