We had a wild weekend with lots of family who came to support Ty for his blessing at church.
Before they came, I did a little organizing and had to put his newborn clothes back in storage. How did this happen so quickly?
The first to come was Aunt Aubrey. She got to meet Ty for the first time!
She was here a day early, so we headed to Colorado Springs to check out the Air Force Academy. They have a unique chapel on campus. Notice the bottom left picture below-Ty LOVES lights!
We found Ty's Plane-it had his name on it!
We also went to Manitu Springs to shop, play at the arcade, and eat at a yummy Jerusalem food restaurant. Aubrey did a study abroad in Jerusalem and said it was pretty authentic. Sorry there are no pictures???
The next day, Tim's parents and grandparents came and we headed up to Rocky Mtn National Park for a picnic.
The grandparents and Ty took a scenic drive so Tim, Aubrey, and I could go on a quick hike.
We saw 2 waterfalls and several Elk.
Sunday was the big day. Ty looked very handsome, as always!
Aubrey gave us the white blessing blanket she saved from Bethlehem and Tim's cousins Sarah and Chelsea make these adorable oneseys they sell online and at the Provo Farmer's Market. Here's their
website.
Ty was perfect throughout the blessing and the meeting.
Four generations
Grandma Bywater and Grandma and Grandpa Larsen (Ty's "Greats" on Tim's side)
After church we had dinner and played games.
Once again, the adults played Disney's Headbands (I'm still waiting to play it with the nieces and nephews-the reason I got the game)
There weren't enough headbands, so Tim just held his so long it stuck on it's own.
Everyone got a turn with Ty.
...Until he was too worn out!
We all loved when Ty showed off his "chub muscles"
Monday before heading back to the airport, we visited the Celestial Seasonings Tea Factory.
It was a great weekend. Thanks to all who came, we'll miss you!
