We have made it to Texas and are enjoying time at Tim's parents' house. Tim spends his days doing research during the week, so on Saturday, we had an adventure in New Braunfels. It's a town about 20 minutes away. We checked out the oldest bakery in Texas...
Sampled a lot of meat in the forms of sausage, bratwursts, and jerky at the New Braunfels Smokehouse...

And got slurpees at Buc-ees, pretty much the most enormous gas station ever. There are 64 pumps and people were waiting for gas!
