Touch A Truck

The city of Louisville does a Touch a Truck event once a year. We were out of town last year, so we were really looking forward to this year! Once Ty woke up on Saturday, we kept telling him we were going to Touch a Truck. Once we got him out of the car he said "Touch fire guck, all right!" and started running toward the trucks. The firefighters hooked a hose up to a fire hydrant and we got to shoot the water, try on firefighter clothes, and climb in the truck!
Ty was pretty shy climbing in all of the trucks, but he jumped right into putting the helmet on.

A local dentist's office was contributing train rides on this mini train below. While waiting in line, they offered tooth tattoo's. Ty saw the other kids getting them and so he put his hand out. He was pretty proud of it. The train ride was pure joy for Ty. He was not nervous to be away from us at all. He just smiled the whole time. When it was time to leave, Ty was so sad. He kept pointing back at the trucks and saying "I want to go that way." We'll be counting the days for next year. (And we'll bring ear plugs. We discovered that Touch a Truck could be more correctly named Honk a Horn).
