Experimenting with my new nice camera...

Ty was chasing our resident bunny. I thought it was funny to follow the chase!

The Rest of May

It rained and rained during the month of May, so we didn't get out much, but we managed to go on a few adventures.
Below Ty is "calling" people with the spatulas.
One Saturday, Tim took Ty to the "big" train store in Denver. There are just so many things to think about there.
Rocking his Paw Patrol jammies as a shirt.
We love our friends the Coplens. Tim knew Megan at BYU, we lived by them in Virginia, and now they live a few towns over. Megan and Philip brought some yummy dinner over one night and met/snuggled Lucy while Ty and Luke played.
Still two peas in a pod...
Jack is about 6 months older than Lucy. I love the progression of his hand in the pictures below. Lucy is a catch-it's never too early to start wooing.
I have two friends I used to work with who both had babies the same week as Lucy was born. It was fun to meet up with them and compare notes (and funny to seem them fret as first time moms. Finally I can be the more relaxed, less frazzled one). I thought we were going to meet them at the Natural History Museum, so I told Ty we were going there. We ended up meeting at a park, but Ty doesn't forget a promise, so we headed there next. Ty always enjoys it!
 Cutest astronaut I've ever seen!

Finally some sun!

3 Months!

 Boy does time fly.

 Loves her daddy!
I don't know why, but Ty cannot take a picture with Lucy without touching her face.
Just a quick update because Lucy is growing and changing so much! She is just getting so chunky, especially her chubby thighs and  cute little “bunny cheeks.” She loves bath time.  We give her a bath in her little baby tub almost every night, often just to rinse and play because she loves it. She is also an amazing sleeper. She’s gone about an entire week straight sleeping eight hours or so. Mommy is so grateful!
Lucy is a little bit spoiled in that she prefers to be held. She gets a lot of attention at church because everyone wants to hold her. This has resulted in her spitting up on a lot of different people. Other than wanting to be held a lot, she is a great baby. Lucy is also getting very good at grabbing and touching things. She likes to hold her toys that have the crinkly sound inside the fabric, and she likes ones that rattle.
She is still so smiley and has big dark eyes. Right now, they are dark blue, but I expect them to change color eventually. She loves for you to smile and talk right to her face, and she is starting to “talk” back by making sounds as if she were being very serious.

Bolder Boulder

My motivation to get back into exercise was the Bolder Boulder on Memorial Day. This is "America's Best 10K," and it's right in my backyard, but I'd never done it before. All I ever heard was that it was super crowded. You are separated into waves, and there are waves of over 500 people every minute. It's crazy. The race started and I soon found out why it was America's Best 10K.
 Belly Dancers
 Slip and slides
 Cupcakes
 And bands.
It was a lot of fun and I finished all 6.4 miles in 54:43! There were 46,540 runners, and I finished 7,148th place.

Celebrating Me

It was a big weekend for me as I celebrated my 30th Birthday on Thursday and Mother's Day on Sunday, with some other celebrating in between. Tim made my birthday special by taking Ty for a while during the day so I could relax, then throwing me a 13 Going on 30 party complete with 80's candy such as Razzles (from the movie)! I got flowers and Haagen Das from Tim, sandals from Ty, a season of Modern Family from Lucy, books about Nashville from Rod and Diney, a cookie scoop and muffin cups from Aubrey, and nice cards from Grandma and Grandpa Larsen (I used my money to get hot curlers!), my dad and Sheila, Aunt Kathi, and others. I really did get everything I wanted.

I also celebrated my biggest Mother's Day yet with this little beauty who gave me the gift of sleeping 8 hours!!!
...and this big helper.
For Mother's Day, Tim made me a delicious breakfast of eggs benedict and berries AND dinner of salmon, potatoes, and salad. Ty mixed the orange juice.
And now for the big news: I got a new, really nice camera (Cannon Rebel T5)!!!
I'd been researching them for a while now because, as you can tell from previous pictures, when I take photos at home, they end up blurred or yellow. I was getting frustrated because I want to have nice pictures of my kids and family as they grow up. My thoughts for a camera were diminished when my laptop broke and I spent too much for a new computer, but Tim surprised me anyway. I had Tim try it out with pictures of me with the kids, and I am already blown away with how much better the quality is. I am so happy with it! Here's our photo shoot!

As you can tell, I've been spoiled this weekend.
