Grandma and Grandpa Larsen had a timeshare condo in Williamsburg, so the Virginia Larsens drove down to enjoy the weekend with them. We went to all three sites of the "Historic Triangle," celebrated Scott's birthday, and had a fun time with family!
Here is what Jamestown looks like as you come into the area. It is now a National Park, but you can imagine you are John Smith...minus the tall monument and buildings.
This is a re-creation of the church at Jamestown. The bottom right picture is what is left of the actual building.
This is our archeologist talking about how they built houses.
Tim is being John Smith
And I'm Pocahontas
They have a house where you can watch them blow glass. Tim is holding a finished product; it's a pear decoration. It was so hot in there, but really cool to watch!
Happy Jamestown Birthday to Scott! We got creative and made him a ship with a gummy bear crew.

Up next is Colonial Williamsburg! This is where they have people dressed up from the eighteenth century and you can see how they did everything back then.
This next picture is for Mindy. It's an Apothecary Shop. They said the most common drug prescribed back then would have been laxatives! I guess it had lots of uses back then like to get rid of fever, etc...
My favorite thing was watching the fife and drum players!
This is the old jail for the state of Virginia. Tim had to be put in there for a few hours because he was being bad. :( The bottom pictures are of the "throne" which is their toilet.
