 Easter Hike in Red Cliffs

 This year, Tim left Ty and me for a week so he could do research for his dissertation in Salt Lake. I was very nervous to be alone with Ty for so long, but Ty was wonderful and we survived! I even managed to make some cookies after he went down for the night.

 Ty and I flew out on Wednesday. While in the airport, we sat on the chairs that backed up to a moving walkway and Ty thought it was the funniest thing to see everyone move past him. He even got quite a few people to smile back at him.

 

 He also had fun trying to eat the chairs-yuck!

 Tim picked us up from the airport and we spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Larsen before driving down to St. George. They gave him a little Mickey Mouse that went straight into his mouth, but he had fun playing with it.

 In St George, we stayed busy. The weather was so warm and perfect. After a fun lunch at Cafe Rio, we went to the Arts Festival:

Friday night we had our big family picnic in the park. I can think of a few excuses for why I didn't take many pictures last weekend, but a big one is that they would have mostly been of us just sitting around visiting.

Saturday morning, we went with my dad and cousin Nick and his wife Tamra on a hike up in Red Cliffs. We knew it would be busy, so we went early. We were the first ones there, but it was still too shady and cold to get in the water.

Ty liked putting his feet in the freezing water, but once we tried to get a picture, he lifted his little legs (see below:)

 The hike to get to the water is only about ten minutes, but it was enough to wear this little guy out.

 

 After the hike, we met up with more family at a park. There were 5 babies there born in 2012. Here is Ty with little Leo.

 My aunt Ruthanne's family rented a house for the weekend that was huge and had a pool, so we had a pizza party there on Saturday night. It was too cold again to swim once the sun went down, but that doesn't mean Ty didn't try!

 

 We held another "Peeps Contest" that was even more competitive than two years ago. Ours was "Peepasana: Peep Yoga in India"

 Sunday we went to church, which was pretty wild with so many kids, and had a kids Easter Egg Hunt:
